9 Months

I got my braces off, well most of them at least. I have 2 brackets on each corner of my mouth to hold my splint in at night. My range of motion is exceptional, actually record breaking at thr Piper Clinic. I'm so happy i got this surgery and I and greatly indebted to Dr. Piper for it. Thank you so much!

Are these your "surgical braces" or orthodontic braces for further bite adjustments? I was told that my braces would be on for only a few months.. but I will either have orthodontic work done or bite surgery since my bite is still not perfect.

My lower jaw is significantly smaller than my upper.. and is stunted, as were my joints. My joints were less than half the size they should have been. So with all that to work with my bite is almost there! It's so exciting!

Hey Dika.. I was wondering [I know this probably sound absurd.. hah!] but last week I just had my 3 month check and I was wondering if I could ride roller-coasters? I have a feeling that if I ask him/or his staff they will just laugh. It's so hard when you're a teen gahh

OH MY GOD! i'm sorry i haven't been on this blog forever! You can ride roller coasters after about a year. He told me I can after my last appointment, but until then, it isn't suggested. Trust me, I NEEDED to know. and honestly i went on one after my 9 month appointment (it was senior cut day and we went to an amusement park!). but yea, definitely don't try it yet. Feel better! i know it sucks when you're a teen!

Hi! I'm not sure if you still check this... Can I ask how you are feeling now? Have the grafts held up? Thanks!
